Obituary of John W. Spalding

John W Spalding, 79, passed away on February 16, 2020, at the Riverside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Castleton-On-Hudson. He was the husband of Shirley Spalding. They shared 41 years of marriage, living on the Spalding Farm in Durham, NY. Born in Durham, NY, he was the son of the late John Miller Spalding and Irene Fredenburgh Tripp-Spalding. During his early years, he was a member of the Future Farmers of America and the local 4-H. John dedicated his life to working the family farm and tending to his herd of dairy cows, which he did for over 60 years. John was predeceased by his brothers, George Spalding and Merton Tripp.

John is survived by his wife Shirley, their two children, and two grandchildren.
