One of the first people who worked in my classroom at BKW was Kay Thompson. She was always up to any task with any child. Her longevity makes a statement to the way she felt about children and her community.
I will always remember Kay and the many gifts she shared with myself and her community

Kay and I started working together in 1974 and she was a wonderful person who loved the work she did and enjoyed helping in any and every way she could. She will be missed.
Our condolences to the family. We are sorry we can't be with you physically at this time but Kay and you all are in our thoughts and prayers.

I remember Kay as full of life and enthusiasm when we worked together at BKW. Always ready with a smile and helping hand. Kay will be missed. A donation was made in Kay's honor to the American Cancer Society in Latham. Her legacy lives on.

I am so sorry to hear of Kay's passing! She was an amazingly talented, sweet and caring teacher to all who knew her. She truly loved all her children and grandchildren. Kay was so warm and welcoming when I began my teaching career at BKW. Her stories and passion for her family and school was incredible. I still remember the Kookaburro song she taught my third grade class and I. She will be greatly missed. God bless you all and know your mom left wonderful footprints in the Hilltowns❤
