FREEHOLD - Brian V. Bogardus, age 52, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Catskill on August 8, 1959, Brian was a lifelong Greene County resident. He retired from CSX Railroad where he was a sheet metal worker. Brian was a life member of Oak Hill-Durham Volunteer Fire Company, member of Greene County Volunteer Fireman's Association and former member of Greenville Volunteer Fire Company. He enjoyed camping and fishing. Brian is survived by his wife, Jacqueline "Jackie" Macko Bogardus; his mother, Karolyn Vincent Bogardus; two brothers, David (Marilyn) and Todd (Henny) Bogardus; a special cousin, Irene Kiley; his Godchild, Emma Bogardus and other nieces and nephews. Brian was predeceased by his father, Jonas Bogardus. Calling hours will be Monday, June 4 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at A.J.
