Obituary of Victor John Cox

OAK HILL - Victor J. Cox, 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 15, 2019 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. He was born on May 8, 1947 in London, England to the late Patrick and Norah A’Hearne Cox. When he was five, his family moved to Toronto, Canada, where he resided until he was 22 years old. He then moved to NYC for eleven years and then settled in Long Island. There he worked as a retail salesman for Men’s Warehouse until his retirement in 2016. Victor then moved to Oak Hill, NY. He loved animals, especially wild animals, including his racoons, deer, and birds. He also had a large circle of close friends that will miss him dearly. In addition to his parents, Victor was predeceased by his brother, Patick Cox. 

    Victor is survived by his children, Vikki Heald, Gregory Cox, Dana Valentino, Jenny Walker, and Victor Cox; his grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew, and Ryan Heald; and Mackenzie, Sheamus, Padric, and Elizabeth Cox; his sister, Angela Bell; and many nieces and nephews.

Victor has been privately cremated. Calling hours will be held on Friday September 20th from 7 to 9pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. Condolences can be posted at ajcunninghamfh.com.
