Obituary of Phylis J. Rodetis

GREENVILLE – Phylis J. Rodetis, 52, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.  Born in the Bronx on October 4, 1966, she was daughter of the late Nicholas F. and Margaret Mark Rodetis.  The family moved to Westchester County in 1974, and she graduated from high school there.  Phylis moved to Greene County more than 30 years ago.  She was employed as a leasing consultant and payroll administrator at Omni Property Management in Albany for the last 15 years, and also was employed at All Aboard Travel Agency, which gave her the opportunity to travel extensively.  Phylis was an avid adventurer, animal lover, and free spirit.  She loved her family, and was thought of as the “Great Aunt”.

          Phylis is survived by her sisters, Deidra “Dee” DiMaso and husband Keith, Gretchen MacDonald and husband Howard; nieces and nephews, Daniel DiMaso, Nicole Combs, Derek DiMaso, Lydia DiMaso, Conner MacDonald, Jordan MacDonald, and Grayson MacDonald; grandnieces and grandnephews, Jonathan and Christopher DiMaso, Jax, Drake, and baby Combs; best friend and partner, Garry O’Halloran; and friends too numerous to mention.

          Calling hours will be Thursday, August 22nd, from 2 until 6 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by a prayer service at 6 p.m. offered by Father Steve Matthews.  Burial will be Friday, August 23rd at 12 noon in Calvary Cemetery, Queens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110 will be appreciated.  Condolence page is available at ajcunninghamfh.com.
