Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Bahnsen

FREEHOLD - Mary Elizabeth Dudley Bahnsen, 55, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 13, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Catskill on December 25, 1963 to the late Frank and Elizabeth Kripps Dudley. She was raised in Freehold and attended Greenville Central School and then graduated from Cairo-Durham High School. Mary then went to work at Sunny Hill Resort for eight years. She married Scott Bahnsen in 1985, and when they had their first son, she became a stay at home mom. In 2004, Mary and her family moved to Florida, where they resided for thirteen years. In 2015, they became snowbirds, moving back up to Freehold and going down to Florida in the wintertime. During their summer months, Mary worked at Thunderheart Golf Course. Mary loved to cook and especially loved taking care of her boys. Being their mom was her greatest joy. 

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Scott Bahnsen; her beloved sons, Wesley and Quinn (Jasmine) Bahnsen; her siblings, Frank Dudley, Linda Irwin, and Diane Wendel; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Calling hours will be held on Saturday August 17th from 2 to 4pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by a service at 4pm.
