Obituary of Florence Brandow

Dunn, NC - Florence Brandow (88) of Dunn, NC, formerly of Medusa, NY passed away at the Betsy Johnson Hosp. in Dunn, NC on April 13, 2012. She was born in Potter Hollow, NY on June 27, 1923 daughter of the late Carcello & Effie (Hallenbeck) Bates. Florence graduated from GCS in 1940 and had worked at the Dellwood Resort in Acra, NY and GE in Schenectady. After her marriage to Richard Brandow she became a homemaker and a very helping farmers wife. She then went to work at Stiefel Labs.in the Quality Control Dept. from which she retired. Florence enjoyed doing her crossword puzzles, traveling and her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Richard L. Brandow, her son-in-law James West and a brother Kenneth Bates. Surviving are a daughter Sandra West, a grandson Curtis West (Rose), her great grandchildren, Nicole, Stephanie, Theodore, Veronica, Alexis, Christina & Dannielle West and her beloved cats Susie & Tigger. Funeral service will be Wed. April 18, 7:30pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR81, Greenville, NY. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7:30pm prior to the service. Interment will be in the Manorkill Cemetery on Thurs. April 19 at 11am.
