Obituary of Marilynn Mc Aneny

GREENVILLE - Marilynn Mc Aneny, age 89, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012. Born in Buffalo on August 31, 1922, she was daughter of the late Wallace and Marion Antus Brandow. Marilynn and her parents moved to Freehold when she was very young, and she graduated from Greenville High School, class of 1941. She married Edward G. Mc Aneny and they raised their family in Norton Hill. After her children were grown, Marilynn worked as a chambermaid at the former Ingalside Farm & Resort. She was an avid golfer, a member of Greenville American Legion Unit 291 Ladies Auxiliary, and the United Methodist Church of Greenville & Norton Hill. Marilynn is survived by her children, Richard Mc Aneny, Donna Lynn Jones, Melanie Wendel and Cindra Gordon; 7 grandchildren, Brenda Snyder, Vicki Hawkins, Philip and Christopher Wendel, Laura Hussein, Sarah and Seth Jones; 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband on January 12, 1997, and by her best friend, Marge Haverly. Calling hours will be Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville, with a service by the Legion Auxiliary at 6:30 p.m. Following cremation, Marilynn's ashes will be buried in Greenville Cemetery at a later date.
