Obituary of Gordon T. Rennick, Jr.
WESTERLO - Gordon T. Rennick, Jr., 79 years, passed away on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011 in St. Peter's Hospice Inn in Albany. He was born in Brooklyn on Sept. 13, 1932, son of the late Gordon Sr. and Florence(Monteith) Rennick. Gordon served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a Communications Technician with A.T. & T. for 30 years, until his retirement. He was a member of the N.Y. Telephone Pioneers and a member and Post Commander (1962) of the Greenville American Legion Post #291. Gordon was a member of the First Baptist Church of Westerlo. Besides his parents, Gordon was predeceased by two grandchildren.
Surviving is his beloved wife, Isabella (Croote) Rennick; his three daughters, Margaret Tierney (Mike), Jill Waters (James) and Wendy Shelburne and a son, Mark Rennick (Cheryl), 17 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011 at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church of Westerlo. Friends may call at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81,Greenville on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM and at the First Baptist Church from 1 to 2 PM Thursday. Interment with military honors will follow in the Westerlo Rural Cemetery. There will be a time of fellowship in the church hall after the interment.
