Obituary of Beverley C. Jennings

Beverley C. Jennings (75). Bev came into this world on March 21, 1934. As a Life Member of the East Durham Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Aux. she answered her last call (after serving for 43 years) of Duty on Fri. Jan. 22, 2010. Bev was an active member of the Pomona Grange until it was disbanded. She belonged to the Ladies Aux. of Greene County Vol. Firemen's Assoc. of which she was a Past President and Life Member, the Ladies Aux. of the Fireman's Assoc. of the State of New York and also the Hudson Valley Vol. Fireman's Assoc. Ladies Aux of which she held an office for several years. She had retired from the towns of Durham & Cairo of which she was employed as the Bookkeeper. Bev was an active, independent person who threw her all into everything she did. She will be missed by many. She was predeceased by her parents, Leland R. & Marian (Chadderdon) Cole. Surviving is a daughter, Mitzi-Su Fremgen (Charlie) of Durham, NY, 3 sisters, Elizabeth (Betty) Mackey of Atlanta, GA, Lois Vendon of Cornwallville, NY, Janice Crone (Robert) of Watertown, NY, 1 brother Russell Cole of Cairo, NY and several nieces & nephews. Funeral service will be Wed. Jan. 27 11am at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR81, Greenville, NY. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tues. from 4 to 8PM. The East Durham Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Aux will conduct services at the funeral home on Tues. eve 7PM. Interment will be in the Winston Cemetery.
