Obituary of Martin J. Jensen

PRESTON HOLLOW - Martin J. Jensen (78) of Broome Center Rd., formerly of New Rochelle, NY passed away at his home on Sat., Oct. 15, 2011. A retired Operating Engineer working out of Local 15 in New York, he has lived in Preston Hollow for the past 12 years. He served his country in the US Navy from 1952 to 1960. He was a member of the Elks Club in New Rochelle and the V.F.W. in Middleburgh, NY. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a friend to all he met. He was predeceased by two sisters, Peggy & Betty Jensen. Surviving is his wife Carole (Evans) Jensen; a daughter Linda Jensen; two sons, Michael Jensen (Susan) & Martin Jensen (Dora); also his grandchildren, Johnny, Nicholas, Michael, Ryan, Lauren, Tanya, Kristin, Marty, Jennifer, Bobby & Jessica and his great grandchildren, Annabelle, Natalia, Madelyn & Anthony. Funeral service will be Thurs. 11 am from the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR81, Greenville, NY 12083 with a Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 am at St. John the Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Potter Hollow Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wed. from 4 to 8pm.
