MEDUSA - Emaline "Harriet" Blakeslee, 64 years, passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011. She was born in Malone on May 24, 1947, daughter of the late Chester and Ethel (Fiemann) Perry. Harriet was a homemaker and loved gardening, sewing, reading, cooking and cleaning. She was a member of the Medusa Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and the Rensselaerville Senior Citizens. Harriet was predeceased by her husband, Robert Blakeslee, Sr. in 1991; a grandson, Robert Blakeslee, III; a sister, Karen Vroman and two brothers, Chester Perry, Jr and Louis Perry. Surviving is her son, Robert Blakeslee, Jr (Virginia); her daughter, June Blakeslee; her seven grandchildren, Jeffery, Jasmine, Crystal, Tasha, Tanya, Destiny and Amanda; three great grandchildren, Lolita, Abby and Efrain; her dearest companion, David McStein and her two cats, Osama and Medusa. Funeral service will be Sunday, Oct. 2 at 4 PM at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 2 to 4 PM. The Medusa Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a service at 3:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Medusa Cemetery on Monday, Oct. 3 at 11 AM.
