Wayne was one of a kind.
I'll always remember meeting him one day while fishing
the Catskill Creek.
Over the years, I enjoyed many an evening by his woodstove,
listening to stories about fishing and hunting,
the changes of the seasons, and about life in Potter Hollow.
I'm going to miss the ol' "Mountain Man".
He was my good friend.

I didn't know Wayne very well, only through his
Aunt Bertha. She loved him with an unconditional love and visited him whenever possible.

The pain of losing someone you love can be overwhelming especially when it's a parent; I too know that pain. May you draw comfort from knowing that our loving heavenly Father Jehovah promises us that very soon all those in the 'memorial tombs' will hear the voice of his son Jesus and 'come out' by means of the resurrection. (John 5:28,29) What a wonderful day that will be!

Loved to talk to the, "Mountain Man" and Dennis Rooney when I lived in Bates Hollow with Kermit. I remember giving Wayne a ride home from a family wedding at Memories Rest.(alberta lodge hayloft). He will be missed by many folks in the area. God Bless to Diane, Glenn and family.
