Obituary of Louis Anthony Liberti

Louis Anthony Liberti, of Cornwallville, died September 6th, at home, in the arms of his family , after a long illness. Born Luigi Antonio Liberti, on October 13, 1934 to Vittorio Liberti and Immaculata Nova in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Liberti was a resident of Cornwallville since 1958. He will long be remembered for Liberti's Pizza and Pasta of Norton Hill. Mr. Liberti was a faithful worshipper at Our Lady of Knock Shrine in East Durham, NY and with his wife and girls, at the Middleburgh Reformed Church. Mr Liberti proudly served his country in the US Navy 1952-1955, having been stationed aboard ship in Korea during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion, durham Valley post 1416 and Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Knock Council and served for many years as a volunteer to the East Durham Fire Department. Mr. Liberti is survived by his wife, Janet Murray, and two incredible girls, Margaret and Amanda; his aunt, Eleanor Parascandola; two sisters, Adelaide Coslian (Robert) and Nina Erickson (Robert); several close cousins, including Mario Liberti of Genoa, Italy with whom he shared several special recent years in Italy; and several loved nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville, NY 12083 on Friday, Sept. 9th from 4 to 8 PM. The family will hold a private funeral and burial respecting Mr. Liberti's wishes.
