Obituary of Emily Whitbeck

Freehold, NY - Emily A.. Whitbeck (82) of Freehold, NY passed away at her home on Sept. 2, 2011. She was born in Queens, NY on July 12, 1929 daughter of the late Lawrence & Helen (Ball) Byrne. A life long LPN she had worked at the Albany Medical Center and for the Office of People w/Developmental Disabilities. When not working she cared for her seven children and would help any one who was in need. Emily was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Greenville, NY. She was predeceased by her husband W. Bruce Whitbeck & a son Bruce H. Whitbeck. She is survived by a daughter Ellen Bardin (Ken), five sons; Robert Whitbeck (Edelgard), Joseph Whitbeck (Debbie), William "Billy" Whitbeck (Molly), Luke Whitbeck (Charlotte) & Almon Whitbeck also several grandchildren & great grandchildren. One of 14 children Emily is also survived by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. A prayer service will be held Thurs. 7:30pm at the Cunningham Funeral Home, Greenville, NY.
