Obituary of Bessie G. Bryan

Bessie G. Bryan (92) of Westerlo, NY passed away at St. Peter's Hospital on Aug. 18, 2011. She was born in Huntersland on Oct. 1, 1918 daughter of the late Morgan & Grace (Zeh) Decker. Bessie enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and was always putting puzzles together. She will be remembered by all as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother & great-great grandmother and a friend to all she met. She was predeceased by her husband Harry W. Bryan, son Paul "Tater" Bryan, a granddaughter Dodie Bryan, a brother Kenneth Decker & a sister Catherine Lewis. Surviving are her children, Lawrence Bryan (Marion), William Bryan (Shirley), Ronald Bryan (Marie), Eldeen Gifford (James), Maggie Tallman, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren & 6 great-great grandchildren also her neighbor kids raised as her own, Roger Chrysler, Robert Baitsholts , the late Wade Chrysler & her feline companion Muffin. Funeral service will be 2pm Mon. Aug. 22 at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, Greenville, NY 12083. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Mon. from 11am to 2pm prior to the service.
