Obituary of Harry Stannard, Jr.
OAK HILL - Harry Stannard Jr., 75, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 under hospice care at the Pines in Catskill. Born in Blenheim on July 23, 1935, he was son of the late Harry and Hazel Warner Stannard. Harry has lived in Oak Hill for the last 25 years and in Rensselaerville for many years prior. He worked as a truck driver for the former Tobin Packing Company for many years and for Callanan Industries in South Bethlehem for 13 years before he retired. Harry was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Harry is survived by his wife of 21 years, Wanda Van Hoesen Stannard; children, Harry Stannard III of Ravena, Joseph (Jill) Stannard of Coxsackie, Julie (Scott) Lendin of Altamont, William Stannard and John (Tina) Stannard all of Rensselaerville, James (Gerrianne) Ravenscroft of Coxsackie, Amy (John) Halvorsen of Schenectady and Aidon Job Stannard of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Shawn (Lynsey), Jeremy, Brehan, Cassie, Cody, Cole, Maverick, Courtney, Lane and Emmit Stannard and Ethan Ravenscroft; great-grandson, Shea Stannard; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Harry was predeceased by his daughter, Dawn Koster, whose husband Thomas survives; sister, Betty Ferriero and brother, Fred Stannard.
Calling hours will be on his birthday, Saturday, July 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery.
