Obituary of Louise V. Persico

RAVENA - Louise V. Palmer Persico, 79, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, May 2, 2011. She was born in Albany on Dec. 2, 1931, daughter of the late Joseph H. and Josephine Mastriano Palmer. Louise was a lifelong resident of the Ravena-Coeymans area and served as Deputy Town Clerk of Coeymans at one time. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. Louise was interested in her community, and enjoyed regular visits to the diner, to check up on old friends and make new ones. She was most proud of her multi-generational family, and their many accomplishments. Louise is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Salvatore J. "Sam" Persico. She is the loving mother of Salvatore J. Persico (Bonnie), Cindy Tracey Granato, and Rocco P. Persico (Andrea); loving sister of Joseph H. Palmer (Patricia); cherished Nanny of 7 grandchildren, Josephine O'Connor (Tom), Dr. Anthony J. Tracey, Salvatore B., Lena M., Vanessa N., Amelia L. and Victoria M. Persico, and 2 great-grandsons, Thomas Salvatore and Theodore Anthony O'Connor; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be Thursday, May 5 from 8:30 until 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 21 Main Street, Ravena. The Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m., followed by entombment in St. Patrick's Mausoleum, Coeymans.
