GREENVILLE - Marianne Korn Werner Doorly, 90, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson after a brief illness. Born in Germany, she came to the United States in 1949 with her husband and children. They settled in Greenville, where she has resided since. Marianne was a homemaker and a skilled seamstress and dressmaker. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, and a member of the local Quilters and Knitters groups. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Ullstrom (Terence Hatton); five grandchildren, Wendy, Chris, Susanne, Anton and Althea; 6 great-grandchildren; one brother, Manfred Korn of Germany; several nieces and nephews. Marianne was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Susanne Korn; her husbands, Anton Werner and Martin Doorly; her son, Dietrich Werner (Gail Grumwald); and two brothers, Karlheinz and Franzalbert Korn. Calling hours will be Monday, April 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville. Cremation will follow.
