Obituary of Henry "Bub" Latham
Henry C. "Bub" Latham (75) of Westerlo, NY passed away on Mar. 17, 2011 in St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY. He was born in Albany, NY on May 2, 1935, son of the late Henry and Zaida (DeLavergne) Latham. He graduated Berne Knox Westerlo High School in 1954 & served his country in the US Army from 1955-1958. He was employed for 31 years by Hannay Reels Inc. Henry was a true community minded man being a Life Member of the Westerlo Vol. Fire Co., Past Captain of the Westerlo Rescue Squad, a member of the Hiawatha Grange for 55 years, a Board Member of the Westerlo Rural Cemetery, a member of the Westerlo Historical Society and a Life Member of the Westerlo Rod & Gun Club. Henry was also an Elder, Deacon and Sunday school Superintendent of the Westerlo Reformed Church. He loved to hunt and snowmobile, especially his snowmobile trip to Yellowstone National Park. Henry will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. Besides his parents, Henry was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Kudlack.
Surviving is his wife of 49 years, Nancy (McCafferty) Latham of Westerlo, NY, his son, Brant Latham (Amy), his three grandchildren, Kyle, Dylan and Hayden Latham, his brother Alvin Latham (Katherine) and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, Mar. 21 at 11am at the Westerlo Reformed Church. Friends may call at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville, NY 12083 on Sunday from 5 to 8 pm.
