Obituary of Janet M. Furman

Janet M. Furman, 78 years, of Clarksville, NY passed away on Feb. 16, 2011 in the Albany Co. Nursing Home in Colonie, NY. She was born in Rensselaerville, NY on Oct. 13, 1932, daughter of the late Raymond and Lena (Wood) Tanner, Sr. Janet was a Free Lance Consultant helping people with their interior decorating. She loved crocheting Afghans and will be remembered for her home made cinnamon buns. She was also a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Rensselaerville, NY. Besides her parents, Janet was predeceased by five brothers, Charles, Niles, Raymond, Roland and Robert Tanner and two sisters, Bernice Waldron and Eleanor Layman. Surviving is her husband of 59 years, Clyde C. Furman of Clarksville, NY, her four children, Kenneth Furman of Staatsburg, NY, Wendy Furman of Rensselaer, NY, Charles Furman (Amy Ludik) of Delmar, NY and Brenda Welter (James) of Westerlo, NY her five grandchildren, Danielle Antonelli (Chris), Ryan Sweeney, Emma, Charles & Anne Furman, her two great grandchildren, Taylor and Isabella Antonelli, her two brothers, Gardner and William Tanner and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 at 11 AM at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville, NY 12083. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY Those who wish to remember Janet in a special way may contribute in her memory to either the Onesquethaw Rescue Squad or the Rensselaerville Rescue Squad.
