How I wish I could be there with you today! You are constantly in my prayers and memories. I think of all the times we had together when you were small children: going to Catskill Game Farm, picnics, time in the snow at your grandparents', church events, visiting, sharing measles, chickenpox and what a blessing it was to have your mom as a close friend through the years. I will miss her phone call on my birthday. I take comfort in Psalm 139, especially v. 16: "All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." How precious to know that God had all of our lives planned - even the number of our days. Your mom's picture reminds me of Grandma Hainer?
Our last time together was at Thousand Islands - your mom & I touring Boldt Castle, laughing, catching up on our lives while the 'guys' did their own thing. It was an unforgettable time!
