DELMAR – Linda L. Tanner, 74, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Gateway House of Peace in Ballston Spa.

Linda was born in Rensselaerville on April 27, 1950, a daughter of the late Raymond Tanner Jr., and Marion Waldron Tanner. She was raised in Rensselaerville and graduated from Scott M. Ellis Elementary School and Greenville High School. Linda lived for several years in Westerlo and spent her final years in Delmar. She retired as an administrative assistant for the New York State Office of Cultural Education.

Linda will be remembered for her kind, gentle and selfless nature, and generous heart. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, and friend. Linda always put her family and friends before herself. She loved living in the country, Elvis, Coca-Cola memorabilia, and animals, especially her granddogs, Faye and Jersey.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Rebecca and husband Marc Machlovitz; grandson, Liam Machlovitz; sister, Nancy Gallo; uncle, Douglas Tanner; and aunt, Carol Tanner. She was predeceased by her parents.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 21st from 4 to 6 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. Graveside service will be Wednesday, May 22nd at 11 a.m. in the Rensselaerville Cemetery.
