Mary Murray of Cornwallville passed away on Tuesday, April 16 2024 at her son's home in Arizona with her family at her side.She was 86 years old.

She was born March 3 1938 to the late Mary and James Maughan in Crossmolina, Co. Mayo, Ireland. She later moved to New York, residing in Sunnyside, Woodside, and Jackson Heights before settling in Cornwallville.

Mary was a mother, and a homemaker, and worked for a time as a waitress. She enjoyed gardening, Irish dancing and Irish music as well as country music, cooking, laughing, and her favorite gameshows Wheel-of-Fortune and Jeopardy.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Michael Murray Sr.,siblings Kathleen Dolan, Sean Maughan and David Maughan.

Mary is survived by her sons Michael Murray Jr., James Murray, and daughter-in-law Debbie Murray, as well as her granddaughters Kaitlyn Murray and Amanda Arnold, sisters Evelyn Heffernan, Nora Loftus, and brother Michael Maughan.

Mary was the Best Wife, Mother and Friend anyone could ever have!!!

Calling hours will be held on Friday April 26th from 4 to 7pm at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday April 27th at 11am at Our Lady of Knock Shrine, 2052 State Route 145, East Durham, followed by burial at Winston Cemetery.
