Obituary of Paul C. Tinnirello

Paul “Big Paulie” Tinnirello of East Durham, passed away on Saturday December 30, 2023 at Albany Memorial Hospital, he was 70 years old.

He was born on Monday November 16, 1953 in Brooklyn, the son of the late Paul and the late Mary (née Di Somma) Tinnirello.

He grew up in Brooklyn and moved to Long Island before settling in East Durham. Paul attended the “School of Hard Knocks.”

He met the love of his life in Brooklyn on Avenue M, they married on May 3,1975, and she became Diane Tinnirello.

He was passionate about motorcycles and woodworking, but his greatest joy came when he was spending time and playing with his grandchildren. In his years he dabbled in many things, working around the body shop his father owned, later becoming a jeweler before moving upstate where he became a truck driver.

He was a proud member of the Sons of Italy.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years Diane , sons Joseph (Maria), Paul ( Afrodite), and Michael. His grandchildren Ava, Michael, Dimitrios, Vincent and Gianna, and his brothers Lawrence ( Mindy), Alexander ( Irene) and Francis ( Diane). Along with many nieces and nephews.
 
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, Jan 5 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at A. J. Cunningham Funeral Home 4898 State Route 81, Greenville.

Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, Jan 6 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Knock Shrine, 2052 State Route 145, East Durham, NY 12423.
