Obituary of James Matthew Fritz

James “Jimmy “Matthew Fritz, 55 years, of Greenville, passed away on Sunday July 23, 2023 at St. Peter’s Community Hospice Inn.

He was born on Monday March 25, 1968 in Catskill, the son of the late Peter and Dorothy (née Price) Fritz. He attended Greenville High School, after graduation he received his Engineering degree for civil engineering and worked for over 20 years.
 Jimmy was raised in Rensselaerville before moving to Rotterdam then to South Caroline where he raised his family.  In 2023 Jimmy and his family moved back to Greenville, NY.

A true family man, Jimmy cherished every moment of time spent with them. He loved ALL sports; However, His love for the NY Yankees was incomparable. He loved astronomy, working with numbers and he LOVED his Heinekens.

James is survived by his wife Jennifer (née Tully) Fritz, son Alexander Fritz, and stepdaughter Lindsey (née Vogel) Devin Spahr and granddaughter Adelade May Spahr. Also his sister Christine(Bohdan) Wynnk and his brother Peter Fritz II. His in-laws Frances (née Gourlay) William Boyce and John (Kathy) Tully as well as several sisters and brother in law’s and nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was cremated privately and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 5,  at 3 pm at the Potter Hollow Union Church, 4824 Potter Hollow Rd., Potter Hollow NY, all are welcome to attend.
