Obituary of Kathleen Ann McGlone

ROUND TOP – Kathleen Ann McGlone, 69, passed away suddenly Friday morning, November 12, 2021 at Albany Medical Center. Kathy was born on October 9, 1952 in Brooklyn, daughter of the late James and Kathleen Kelly McGlone. Kathy was a graduate of St. Francis College in Brooklyn. She worked as a Registered Nurse for more than 20 years in several hospitals, retiring from Staten Island University Hospital. She moved to Round Top in 2002 and worked in several nursing homes in the Hudson/Catskill area. Kathy was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Cairo and was a member of the Rosary Society. She enjoyed the fall season, gardening, reading, cooking, watching game shows and classic black & white movies. Kathy was also a skilled amateur photographer. Kathy is survived by her beloved son, Nicholas Cassillo, his fiancée, Elizabeth Lawrence, and her beloved grand-dog, “Bella”; two brothers, Michael (Kathy) McGlone and Gerald McGlone; two nieces, Kathleen (Rob) Campbell and their children, Robert, Olivia, and Lily; and Lauren (Marcus) Andrews. In addition to her parents, Kathy was predeceased by a brother, James McGlone. Calling hours will be Sunday, November 14th from 12 noon until 4 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, November 15th at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 35 Church Street, Cairo, followed by burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Sacred Heart Church, 35 Church Street, Cairo, NY 12413, or the Columbia-Greene Humane Society, 111 Humane Society Road, Hudson, NY 12534 will be appreciated.
