Obituary of Jeffrey Lounsbury

WESTERLO – Jeffrey Lounsbury, 54, passed away on Sunday evening, September 17, 2017 at his residence. Born in Catskill on November 28, 1962, he was raised in Westerlo and graduated from Greenville Central School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served for three years active duty. He received an honorable discharge and spent several years in the Reserve. Jeffrey worked in construction as a mason with his father, and was employed on many jobs through BMP Union Local 2. He was a member of Greenville American Legion Post 291. Jeffrey enjoyed remodeling his home, woodworking, hunting, golfing and reading. Jeffrey is survived by his parents, John and Diane Vincent Lounsbury; sister, Kimberly Lounsbury (Chris Heidenberg); "special sister", Danielle Ross; niece, Erin Schrimp; nephews, Bobby and Zachary Patrick; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jeffrey was predeceased by his sister, Tammy Lounsbury Patrick. Calling hours will be Saturday, September 23rd, from 3 to 5 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. A funeral service will be conducted at 5 p.m., followed by private cremation. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany for their special care.
