Obituary of Ruth E. Warner

Ruth Evelyn Warner-Boras, 59, of Cairo NY, went home to her Lord on December 13, 2016 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's in Albany, NY. She was born October 22, 1957 in Bronx, NY. She is survived by her husband, Steve Boras, her parents, Gerald and Elizabeth Griffin, her sister, Elizabeth Augustine, her brothers, Gerald and Matthew Griffin, her stepchildren, Samantha and Spencer Boras, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ruth attended Rhinebeck High School, Nyack College and graduated from SUNY Albany University, Summa Cum Laude. Ruth recently retired from Taconic DDSO in Kingston, NY for the State of New York where she passionately cared for her individuals. Ruth was a faithful Christian who possessed an enormous heart for helping others. She had a sweet spirit with a contagious lust for life; fervently advocating for those who could not fight for themselves. She cared for all God's creatures, especially horses, and faithfully volunteered at the Catskill Animal Sanctuary. She was equine massage therapist. Ruth will be missed. A memorial service will be held at Greenville Christian Life Center, located at 11693 State Route 32, Greenville, NY, 12083, directly after the 10 am service on January 8, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice Inn at St. Peters in Albany, NY, or the Catskill Animal Sanctuary in Saugerties, NY. Condolences can be posted at ajcunninghamfh.com.
