Obituary of Pearl Capone

GREENVILLE – Pearl Capone, 94, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at St. Peter's Hospital. She was born in Brooklyn on May 23, 1922 to the late Joseph and Martha Pellegrino Puleo. Pearl was a Eucharistic Minister of St. John the Baptist Parish, a charter member and past president of the Rosary Society, a charter member and secretary of the Parish Council, was secretary and treasurer of the Garden Club, and past president of the Literary Club. She was also past president of the Home Makers and organizer of the Greenville Quilters. She received a Senior Citizen Award for her volunteer work done at Olana. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph J. Capone on December 5, 2007. Pearl is survived by her sons, Robert of Greenville and John of Naples, FL. She will be missed by her family and many friends. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 20 from 4 to 7pm at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, December 21 at 11am at St. John the Baptist Church, 4987 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by interment in Greenville Cemetery.
