Obituary of Thomas C. Fitzpatrick

GREENVILLE – Thomas C. Fitzpatrick, 87, passed away Monday morning, October 10, 2016. He was born in the Bronx on October 12, 1928, son of the late Thomas and Josephine McNulty Fitzpatrick. Mr. Fitzpatrick served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1950. He was employed for 25 years as a clerk at the U.S. Post Office in West New York, NJ, retiring 25 years ago. Mr. Fitzpatrick moved to Greenville in November of 2007. He was a member of Greenville American Legion Post 291. Survivors include his wife, Martha A. Stiehler Fitzpatrick; four daughters, Kathleen (Gene) Ruiz, Maureen Fitzpatrick, Christine (Joseph) Moran, and Geraldine (Nino) Perez; eight grandchildren, Michael, David and Thomas Ruiz, Katie and Grace Moran, Justin, Daniel and Ryan Perez; six great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Rebecca, Tyler, Luke, Zachary, and Abby Ruiz; one sister, Grace Snider; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Patrick and Terrence Fitzpatrick, Julia Allen, Ellen Holman, and Christina Julian. Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. The funeral will be Wednesday, October 12 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial in Greenville Cemetery.
