Obituary of Todd Daren Croote

Todd Daren Croote, 53 of Greenville passed away Sunday February 19, 2023. He is the son of the late Alan Eugene Croote. A graduate of Greenville High school, he went on to marry Angela (Winnie) Croote, together they had a daughter, Emma Croote.

He worked as a warehouse manager and enjoyed being outdoors hiking, fishing, camping, and building fires. He loved all of nature. As a teenager he played the drums and keyboard and carried his love for music through his life. He took great pleasure in watching and playing sports especially football and baseball. His favorite thing regarding basketball was March Madness with his wife and daughter, helping them build their brackets. He had a soft spot for watching college softball world series with Emma. He was very fond of traveling and loved to take pictures of the places he had been. Todd was known for his sense of humor and corny jokes to make people laugh. By far, his favorite holiday was Halloween; he loved watching all of the old monster movies. Todd was a math whiz and any multiplication, division, or all of the above, he would be there saying it for you right off the top of his head. He loved the Fourth of July, watching the fireworks with Emma every year was his joy. His passion was his 150 gallon fish tank in the living room, loving to see what was out there and put new fish into the tank and never stopped added and trying new things to make it amazing. Todd liked to cook and he watched a ton of cooking shows and told his family all about what he learned. The most amazing thing about Todd was the love he had for his daughter Emma, especially when he watched her play the sport that she loved, because he was the one who taught his little girl to play softball.

Todd is survived by his wife Angela Croote, daughter, Emma Croote, mother Linda (Robert) Bathrick, and sisters, Lisa and Tammy Croote.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation at: JDRF, PO BOX 37920, Boone IA 50037-0920
