Obituary of Richard Joseph Tirpak

Richard Joseph Tirpak, 78, of Northville, New York and formerly of Mahwah, New Jersey passed away April 17, 2018 in Bradenton, Florida. Born August 11, 1939 in Midland Park, NJ. Rich was a lifelong outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, traveling out west, working on his lawn/landscaping, playing cards and quality time at the Great Sacandaga Lake and Jersey Shore with friends and family. He was partnered in the construction business for many years with his brother, Jimmy. Rich married Virginia Voorman in 1969 and he was blessed to be the father of Clint, Jody and Dody, and grandchildren, Ty, Trey, Kate and Kiera. Daughter-in-law Anita VanValkenburgh and son-in-law, Kevin O'Neill completed the family picture. Rich firmly believed that family and faith in God could overcome all obstacles. He is also survived by his brother, James Tirpak and his sister, Maureen Anderson. He was predeceased by his brothers, Eddie, John, Steve and sister, Dorothy. A funeral service at the Asbury United Methodist Church of Norton Hill, 5830 State Route 81, Greenville, will take place on Tuesday, April 24th at 11:00 a.m. Internment immediately following service in Oak Hill Cemetery.
