MEDUSA - With family by his side, Ronald W. Case was called home on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.  Ronald was born November 5, 1943 to Russell and Ruth Hammond Case in Medusa, NY.

Ronald worked for the Albany County Highway Department for many years until his retirement.  Ronald was a life-time member of the Medusa Volunteer Fire Company serving in many capacities over the years. After retirement he also served the community in many ways including delivering meals on wheels, volunteering at the Next-to-New Thrift Shop and chauffeuring neighbors to doctor's appointments.

Ronald loved traveling, especially to Maine.  He loved antiques and collectibles.  Ronald enjoyed watching and feeding the birds and owned peacocks for many years. He was a John Deere fan.  But his favorite pastime was attending his grandchildren’s events, from dance recitals to baseball games to concerts.

Ronald was predeceased by his wife Janet Ormsbee Case, his grandson Charles Duncan and his siblings Russell Case Jr., Judith Case and Jon Case. Ronald is survived by his children Ronald Case Jr (Stacy), Justin Case (Becky)  and Juanita Case;  his grandchildren Matthew Duncan (Jolene), Ronald Case III (Tabatha), Amber Case, James Cliffe, Austin (Cherokee), Hannah, Justin (Anna Churchill), Elijah, Willow, Harmony, Serenity and Krystiana Case; and his great grandchildren Alex Case, Viola Duncan and Thomas Case and many nieces and nephews, including his nephew Mike Case who was a faithful companion.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 19th from 11:00am to 1:00pm with the funeral service at 1:00pm at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville.  Burial at Medusa Cemetery immediately following.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Medusa Volunteer Fire Company, 28 CR 351, Medusa, NY 12120 will be appreciated.
