James E. Westfall Obituary

James E. Westfall (Jim), 72, of Norton Hill, New York, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

A man with a warm heart and a quick wit, Jim found his greatest joy in the simple things – a quiet morning on the water with a fishing pole, the peace of the woods during hunting season, and every moment spent with the people he loved. Nothing lit him up more than times with his grandchildren. He was the kind of Grandpa who got down on the floor to play, who blew bubbles just to hear them laugh, and who loved them with every bit of his heart.

Jim was pre-deceased by his parents, his sisters Betty and Aggie, his best friend Joe Seymour, and his beloved grandson, Mason - RLM 3, whose memory he carried with him always.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Kathy (Teller) Westfall, his sisters Terry and Karen, his sons Matt, Jeff (Rana), Jim (Cheryl), his cherished grandchildren, Krista - RLM 1  (TJ), and Kelly June - RLM 2 (Keith), and his two great grandchildren, GunnerBo and Colsen, who brought him immense joy and pride. He will also be deeply missed by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many dear friends.

James leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and the kind of memories that stay bright long after the moment has passed.

Friends and family are invited to come together to honor his life.  Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 6, from 4 PM to 6 PM at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Community Hospice Foundation, 310 South Manning Blvd. Albany, NY 12208, in recognition of the compassionate care and support they provide to families.
