EARLTON – Roy R. “Rocky” Johnson, Jr., 75, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

            Roy was born on April 25, 1950 in Keene, NH, a son of the late Roy R. and Dorothy Swazey Johnson.  Roy was raised in New Hampshire until moving to Coxsackie at age 5 with his family.  He graduated from Coxsackie-Athens High School. Upon his marriage to the former Deborah C. Deyo, he moved to Earlton. During his lifetime, Roy worked as an insurance agent and was self-employed as a carpenter.  His enjoyments included skiing, car racing, and collecting Matchbox cars.

            In addition to his wife, Deborah, Roy is survived by two daughters, Wendy Teran, and Shannon Johnson (Nick Radford); two granddaughters, Devon and Alexandria Teran; his siblings, Barbara Van Housen (Jack), Barry Johnson (Robin), and Terry Johnson.

            Roy was cremated privately.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the animal rescue of your choice, or to Kitten Angels will be appreciated.  Condolences may be posted at ajcunninghamfh.com.
