ALBANY - Sallyann Routhier (née Van Amburgh) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in Albany, New York, the city where she was born on March 25, 1953. She was 72 years old.

                  Born and raised in Albany, Sallyann was the daughter of the late Alfred Sr.  and Elizabeth Van Amburgh.  She was the beloved wife of Michael who also preceded her in death. Sallyann will be remembered for her kindness to and great love of animals. Her life was deeply rooted in the community where she began and ended her journey, surrounded by the enduring presence of family.

                  Sallyann is lovingly remembered by her brother, Thomas Van Amburgh, and his wife, Robin.   She is also remembered by her niece, Kristen Pergolino, and her husband, Christopher, along with their sons, Kyle and Anthony.  She also leaves behind her nephew, Mark Van Amburgh, and his significant other, Sarah. Mark's children, Gabriel Van Amburgh, and his wife, Yoselin ; their daughters, Charlotte and Winnona, Sallyann’s great-great nieces; as well as her great nieces Madeleine Van Amburgh and Kai Van Amburgh.  Sallyann will also lovingly be remembered by her many cousins and extended family and friends.
