WEST CHESTER, PA - Charles N. Gombar, age 98, formerly of Greenville, NY passed

away on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

       Born and raised in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Helen (nee

Lowassy) Gombar. Charles served honorably in the US Army. He was an

outstanding athlete and worked as a Cabinet Maker. After retirement, Charles

moved to Greenville.

       Charles was the beloved husband of his first wife, the late Margaret (nee Ruoff)

Gombar, and his second wife, the late Kathleen (nee Bourke) Gombar; loving

father of Robert C. Gombar (Sally Sellman) and Charles T. Gombar (Felice

Aromando); caring grandfather of Jennifer Ferguson, Theresa Gombar, and Julia

Gombar and great-grandfather of Kaden, Jacob, Savannah, and Talon Bobby

Ferguson; predeceased by his brother, Edward Gombar, and his grandchildren,

Brian Gombar and Robert C. Gombar, Jr.

       Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 9th from 5 until 7 p.m. at A.J.

Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, NY 12083. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial

will be offered on Wednesday, September 10th at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist

Church, 4987 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by burial with honors in Greenville Cemetery.
