WESTERLO - Eleanor Patton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Eleanor had a great love for art. She was an artist in many forms. She loved her gardens, especially her flowers. Eleanor enjoyed ballroom dancing, and performed in several showcases. She also had a special talent for baking. Former Albany Mayor Thomas Whalen once called on Eleanor to make a wedding cake for one of his daughters. She was retired from the New York State Education Department, and in later years, was a homemaker.
Eleanor is survived by her husband of 56 years, George; her sister, Annmarie Fonzo; brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Private burial took place at Saratoga National Cemetery. There were no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to AnimalKind, P.O. Box 902, Hudson, NY 12534 will be appreciated.
