Obituary of June M. Sibbert

 June M. (Wiltsie) Sibbert, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at her winter home in Sanford, Florida, with her children at her bedside. She was born on January 9, 1936 in Catskill, NY, to the late Manley Wiltsie and Ruth (Olmsted) Wiltsie.

 June worked for many years at Schmollinger’s Pleasant View Lodge. She was a member of an eclectic group of organizations; the Hudson Valley Snowmobile Club, Chapter L Motorcycle Club, Coxsackie Yacht Club, N.E.S.C.O.T (North East Stockcar Old Timers), the Red Hats, and Medway-Grapeville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

June, along with her late husband George, enjoyed camping, boating, snowmobiling, and motorcycle riding activities. Including family and friends was very important to June, road trips to Alaska and Western states brought joy to her life. June and George cherished their motorcycle trips and going to Americade in Lake George.

In addition to her parents, June is predeceased by her husband George Sibbert, sister Norma Cross, brother-in-law Wilbur Cross, brother-in-law, Richard Fenton, mother-in-law Sophie (Testin) Walter, father-in-law Albert Walter, Henry Sibbert, brother-in-law Fred Sibbert and his wife Anne.

Surviving with loving memories are daughter Wendy (Jody) Drane of Sanford, Florida, sons Todd (Diana) Sibbert of Edmeston, NY , and Jorge Sibbert of Chateaugay, NY. As well as her sister-in-law Betty Fenton, nieces, and nephews.

June will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and friend and will be deeply missed.

Services have been entrusted to A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 27th from 4 to 6 pm, burial will be held at Saratoga National Cemetery on Monday, April 28th at 1pm.
