WESTERLO - Phyllis McDermott, 76, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at St. Peter’s Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on July 15, 1948, and raised in Westerlo, NY. Phyllis worked at the Berne Knox Westerlo School District, as well as Spaulding & Rogers prior to her retirement. Throughout her years, she enjoyed gardening, baking, and reading, however, her pride and joy were her grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Denise and son, Dennis Jr. (Carrie); her cherished grandchildren, Bridget and Logan; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and in-laws. She is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Dennis Sr., and her brother, Philip “Butch” Ives.

Per her wishes, she will be privately cremated, and no services will be held.
