NEW BALTIMORE – Lorraine F. Giannone, 73, passed away suddenly at her daughter’s residence on Friday, July 5, 2024.


Lorraine was born in Brooklyn on August 9, 1950, a daughter of the late George and Fanny Clampitt Schroeder. She lived in Brooklyn until moving to Maspeth, Queens, where she attended Grover Cleveland High School. Lorraine was a resident of Maspeth for more than 40 years, moving to New Baltimore after retirement. She was employed as a paraprofessional by the New York City Department of Education.


Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Nicole and son-in-law, Frank Astarita; grandchildren, Gianna and Frankie; brother, John and sister-in-law, Carol Schroeder; nieces, Doreen Russotto , Barbara Mongillo, Colleen Buonavita, Kelly Althouse; nephews, Christopher Schroeder and Gino Russotto.


Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 10th from 3 to 7 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 9 Main Street, Ravena, with a service at 6:30 p.m. Following cremation, burial will be private.
