Michael “Mike” Joseph Gilleran, 89, of Greensboro, NC passed away on Monday April 22, 2024.

Born on March 13, 1935 to John and Margaret (Moore) Gilleran in Bronxville, NY, he graduated

from Dean College and served in the United States Army. He was a long-time resident of Yorktown

Heights, NY before moving to Greenville, NY and then Greensboro, NC in 2022.

Mike was the owner of Gilleran Equipment Co. in Yorktown Heights for many years. He

was incredibly hard working and talented, especially when operating his machines which was

his life passion. Even in the Memory Care facility, he told everyone “He had to go to work”. Playing

many musical instruments, the piano and guitar were his favorites. His musical talent was

enjoyed by his family and those who had the opportunity to hear him play throughout the years.

Mike is survived by his four children, Kimberly (Pat) Snyder, Tracey Nicol, Julie (Matt) Hawley

and John (Chandi) Gilleran all from North Carolina; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren;

sister Catherine Dale of Danbury, CT. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, brother James, and

wives Georgia Gilleran and Barbara Frisbee-Gilleran.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, May 4, at Greenville Cemetery in
