GREENVILLE – Joseph W. Licata, Sr. passed away at his residence on Saturday, March 23, 2024.


He was born in Brooklyn to the late Angelo and Anna Licata, and moved to Greenville in 1970. Joe was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He owned A-BAR-A Ranch and Licata’s Auto Repair, both in Greenville. Joe was a member of Greenville American Legion Post 291. He enjoyed boating, fishing, motorcycle riding, and horseback riding.


Joe is survived by his wife, Barbara Goode Licata; children, Patricia (Brian) Lackey, Steven (Carol) Licata, Joseph D. “Joey” Licata, Lorri (Donald) Gardner, Eleanor Licata, and Joseph W. (Tara) Licata, Jr.; grandchildren, Nick, Louis, Christian, MacKenzie, Bailey, Kennedy, Gary, DJ, and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Huntley.


Joe has been cremated privately. The family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Legion Post 291, P.O. Box 132, Greenville, NY 12083 will be appreciated. Condolence page at ajcunninghamfh.com.
