OAK HILL - Evelyn B. Carlin, 81 years, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012 in St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Brooklyn on April 3, 1931, daughter of the late Ralph and Bronislawa Bogdanowicz. Evelyn was employed by Brooklyn Union Gas Co. for 32 years, and retired to Greene County with her husband James. She was active at the Greenville American Legion Post #291 and the Tri Town Memorial VFW Post #7229. Evelyn was predeceased by her loving husband of 30 years, James H. Carlin in 2004. Evelyn is survived by many long time friends, nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be Friday, August 24 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville, followed by the funeral at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
