Christa Gavioli, 88, of Freehold, Greene County, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Bremen, Germany, on July 23, 1933, she was raised and educated there. Christa came to America in 1960 aboard the ship “The America”. She worked as a waitress at the Country Club Diner in Staten Island, and eventually worked herself up to manager of the diner. She loved her job, and retired after 30 years. Christa and her family resided in South Beach on Staten Island for more than 50 years. She moved to Freehold with her son in 2017. Christa is the widow of Roger Gavioli, who died in 1994. She is survived by her son, Jason, and his wife, Sandra, with whom she resided in Freehold; siblings and their families in Germany.
