Paul Pickett, age 45, of South Westerlo died suddenly on Dec. 17, 2009. Paul is the son of Fred and Janice Pickett of South Westerlo. Paul was a graduate of Greenville Central Schools where he very much enjoyed participating in musical and drama programs as well as tennis and track. Shortly after graduation Paul left for Houston, TX where he was an employee of American Airlines for many years. Paul recently moved back to New York to be closer to family and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Harry Sabatura and his paternal grandparents, Fred and Bertha Pickett of Wyoming Valley, PA. Surviving are his parents, Fred and Janice Pickett of South Westerlo, a son, Nicholas and his mother, Janie Lawson of Shiner, TX, his brother, Eric Pickett (Lori), nieces, Erica and Emily and nephew, Christopher of South Westerlo, maternal grandmother, Lucy Sabatura of Dallas, PA and uncle, Richard Sabatura and family of Shavertown, PA. A Memorial Service will be held at the Greenville-Norton Hill United Methodist Church, RT 81, Norton Hill, NY on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Childrens's Fund or Discretionary Fund of the Greenville-Norton Hill United Methodist Church, PO Box 599, Greenville, NY 12083.
