Arline E. Baron, 71 years, of Greenville passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011 in the Pines in Catskill after a brief struggle with cancer. She was born in Queens on Nov. 16, 1939, daughter of the late Harold and Eleanor (Payan) Schmidt. She married her husband James L. Baron, Sr. and moved to the family farm in Greenville in 1970 where she lived until her passing. Arline was a Teachers Aide at GCS for many years. Arline loved to help others through donations to various causes and sending Christmas cards and supplies to our troops and wounded warriors. Her favorite way to pass time was watching the many animals on the farm and looking at her mountain view. Arline is survived by her husband, James L. Baron, Sr.; a son, James L. Baron, Jr., his fiancé Tina Szlachetka and her daughter Mariah; her sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Henry Loos, Sr.; a niece and nephew, Jeannine and Henry Loos, Jr.; a sister-in-law Irma Roe and nephews, John and Robin Roe and their families as well as her close friends who she remained in touch with until her passing. Arline's wish was to have a simple graveside memorial with her family and close friends, under the direction of A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, Greenville.
