Obituary of Denise R. Wilsey

NEW BALTIMORE - Denise R. Miner Wilsey, age 47, passed away at her residence on Thursday, June 23, 2011 after a brief illness. Born in Catskill on November 10, 1963, she was daughter of the late John H. and Beverly McCauley Miner. Denise was a graduate of Coxsackie-Athens High School and a lifelong resident. She was employed for the last 5 years as a housekeeper at the Best Western in West Coxsackie. Denise was a dedicated member of Freedom Chapel (Alcove Assembly of God), a loving wife and mother, and a devoted caregiver to her grandmother and her late parents. Denise is survived by her husband of 23 years, David J. Wilsey; her children, Kyle, Ryan and Megan Wilsey; her brother, John H. Miner Jr.; her grandmother, Cleta Sickler McCauley; aunt and uncle, Kate and Sam McCauley; her longtime friend, Marcie Van Wormer Waltz; nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Denise was predeceased by her sister, Deborah Miner. Calling hours will be Sunday, June 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Freedom Chapel, 143 CR 111, Alcove, NY 12007. The funeral will be Monday, June 27 at 11 a.m. at Freedom Chapel, followed by burial in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, New Baltimore.
