Obituary of Alfreds Semeiks

Alfreds R. Semeiks, 95, of Greenville, passed away on May 25th, 2011 after a short illness. He is survived by Vilma, his beloved wife of 65 years, three sons, Ivars with wife Barbara, Andrew with wife Pamela and Valdis with wife Penny, and daughter, Ilga. As well as six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His oldest son, Juris, passed away in 1996. Alfreds was born on May 17th, 1916 in Valmiera, Latvia and educated in business management. He immigrated to America with his wife and young family in 1949 and made their way in a new country. He belonged to the Latvian Lutheran Church of Schenectady and the Latvian Club of Albany. He was an avid chess player and stamp collector. He enjoyed fishing as well. A Memorial Service will be held at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR81, Greenville, NY on Saturday, June 4th, 2011 at 2 p.m. Light a Candle at ajcunninghamfh.com.
